Tax Glance

Pay your taxes online from January thru March. View & print your tax bill or any receipts paid to the Town Clerk. You must call Tompkins County Finance for Receipts on bills paid to them.

Credit/Debit Card Payment

You can pay your taxes online by clicking the TaxGlance button above, in person at the Clerk's Office or over the phone by calling 607-898-5035. Our credit card provider will charge an additional 2.75% service fee when paying your taxes with a credit card or debit card. (If the bill is $64.00 or less the service fee is $1.75.)

E-Check Payment

E-Checks will be charged an access fee depending on the amount of the check:

$1,999.99 and less - $2.50

$2000.00 - $3,999.99 - $5.00

$4,000.00 - $5,999.99 - $7.50

$6,000.00 - $7,999.99 - $10.00

$8,000.00 - $ 9,999.99 - $12.50

Over $10,000 - increments of $2.50 per $2,000

If you have an escrow account, your bill will be mailed directly to your bank.

If you do not have an escrow account and do not receive your tax bill by January 9, 2025, please call the Clerk’s office at (607) 898-5035 and request that another copy be sent to you.

Please remember that even if your bill is lost in the mail or you do not receive it for any reason, you still are responsible to pay it before the due date or a penalty will be charged.

If you would like to check the bill, click on the Tax Glance button and fill in ONE Box, and you can see the bill, (print it) without having to pay.

Senior Citizen Taxpayer

Your deadline for paying GROTON Town & County 2025 Taxes on YOUR RESIDENCE is extended to Wednesday February 7, 2025 without penalty BUT ONLY if you meet the following criteria:

You MUST already have a Town or County Senior Exemption or an Enhanced STAR Exemption. (65 or older & under a certain income)
Applies ONLY to YOUR RESIDENCE, which must be in the Town or Village of Groton.
Applies ONLY to FULL PAYMENTS.
If you choose to make a partial payment, you must do so by January 31.
Applies only to GROTON Town & County 2025 Taxes.

MAKE SURE YOU QUALIFY - Any non-qualifying payment after January 31 will be charged the late fee.

CALL 607-898-5035 TODAY to see if you qualify for this extension! All qualifying Senior Citizen bills paid after February 7 will be charged the late fee.
